This session explores inquiry-based grammar instruction that affirms students’ existing language practices while fostering their curiosity about the relationship between their purposes, language choices and power as writers. Presenters share from two 10th grade ELA contexts, one with a majority of multilingual learners and another with predominantly White English speakers.
